When is the Dubai 7s 2026?
The festival runs for three days, from Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November 2026. It ends just before the UAE National Day holiday, which is expected on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December.
The Dubai Sevens started in 1970 and is the longest-running international sports event in the Middle East.
What rugby is on?
HSBC SVNS – the world series
Dubai opens the 2026/27 HSBC SVNS season, so the world’s top men’s and women’s sevens teams start their campaigns here. New Zealand won both the men’s and women’s titles in Dubai last year, so they arrive as double defending champions.
HSBC SVNS 3 – new this year
For the first time, Dubai also hosts HSBC SVNS 3, the third tier of international sevens. It gives emerging rugby nations a route up to SVNS 2 and the main series. SVNS 3 starts on Friday 27 November, and its finals are on Saturday 28 November.
With both competitions, organisers say 28 international teams will play 70 matches over the weekend. They’re calling it the world’s biggest international sevens tournament.
Amateur tournaments
The back pitches host amateur rugby, netball, cricket, padel and WODON3 fitness competitions. Gaelic football joins this year for the first time, making six sports in total.
How much are Dubai 7s tickets?
Prices are the same as last year, the third year in a row without an increase:
- Friday entry: from AED 75
- Saturday or Sunday day pass: AED 455
- Three-day general admission pass: from AED 595
- Three-day family pass (two adults, two children): AED 1,136
- Children under 15: free with general admission
Premium options go up to AED 3,250. New this year, Beats on 2 tickets give you a spot overlooking Pitch 2 and are sold separately from standard tickets.
All tickets are digital. You buy them on emiratesdubai7s.com or in the Emirates Dubai 7s app and show them from the app’s wallet at the gate.
Who is performing at the Dubai 7s 2026?
The first two names have been announced for Beats on 2, the festival’s party zone next to Pitch 2:
- Saturday 28 November: Melanie C, with a DJ set
- Sunday 29 November: Jax Jones, with a DJ set
Organisers have promised international music headliners on all three nights. More acts are due to be named before the event.
Is the Dubai 7s good for families?
Yes. Under-15s get in free, and this year’s kids’ zone is the biggest yet. It has inflatables, a Ferris wheel and a zipline. The festival ties in with the UAE’s Year of the Family.
Friday is the cheapest day, from AED 75. It’s a good choice if you have young children or mainly want to watch the rugby.
The weekend is also the last of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, so expect a lot of sporty families on site.
How do you get to The Sevens Stadium?
The stadium is on the E66 Dubai–Al Ain Road, outside the city centre. There’s no Metro station nearby, so plan your trip home before you go.
Free shuttle buses
Free buses leave the stadium on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7pm to 1.30am, every 15 minutes. They go to:
- DMCC Metro Station (JLT)
- Dubai Sports City
- Dubai Studio City
- Financial Centre Metro Station (DIFC)
- Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium
To find the buses, leave by the main exit, turn left through the arch and follow the “BUSES” signs.
Taxi and ride-hailing
RTA taxis have their own rank. Leave by the main exit, turn right under the arch and follow the “TAXI” signs. Careem, Uber and other apps use the drop-off and pick-up area near the main entrance.
Driving
There are around 15,000 parking spaces on site for ticket holders. The drive takes roughly half an hour from Dubai International Airport, Business Bay or Motor City, and about 35 minutes from Dubai Marina. If you’re drinking, leave the car at home.
